What I say: This was a strong start to the story of Maggie Jamieson as she moves to a new team, for reasons as yet unknown, and is quickly caught up in an investigation into the murder of three men.  The common link between all of them is Lucy Sherwood, a colleague of Maggie’s from the Probation Service. The story jumps between different viewpoints as we meet the victims and the various members of the team investigating their murders, something which could have derailed the story but it was done in such a way that it ramped up the tension.  On one occasion I thought there had been enough clues to identify the killer…
