Like the previous two this novel is told from the point of view of Booker as he comes to terms with what he thinks are unrequited feelings for Cash and as he settles into the way of life involved in running his bookshop cum cafe on Romney Marsh. As this is the third book we are starting to get to know the main characters quite well. Their relationship is somewhat of a puzzle with Booker admitting to himself but not Cash how he feels about her but with hints from time to time that Cash may also have feelings for him,…
