Tell Me No Secrets by Lynda Stacey

7th May 2017

What the publisher says:

Every time Kate Duggan looks in a mirror she is confronted by her guilt; a long, red scar reminding her that she was ‘the one to walk away’ from the car accident. Not everyone was so lucky …
On the surface her fiancé Rob is supportive – but the reality is different. He’s controlling, manipulative and, if the phone call Kate overhears is anything to go by, he has a secret. But just how dangerous is that secret?
When Kate begins work at a firm of private investigators, she meets Ben Parker. His strong and silent persona is intriguing but it’s also a cover – because something devastating happened to Ben, something he can’t get over.
As Kate and Ben begin their first assignment, they become close. But, what they don’t realise is how close to home the investigation will bring them, or who will be hurt in the process …

What I say:

This is the story of Kate who is about to start work in a private investigators firm. She has an awkward relationship with her fiance Rob who appears to take her for granted and who she suspects is keeping secrets from her. Upon starting work at her new job she meets her new boss, the gorgeous Ben. In addition to her new job and neglectful boyfriend Kate is also trying to look after her twin sister who was severely injured in a car accident that killed their brother. When her domineering mother comes to stay it seems that life can’t run any less smoothly for Kate.

The case that Ben and Kate are working on suddenly becomes a lot more dangerous than they had expected and Kate finds herself in danger.

There are so many twists and turns that it would be impossible to detail them all without giving away the storyline but safe to say you won’t go wrong with this one – whether you like romance, mystery or crime this one fits the bill
